Art Direction

Someday Coffee is an ongoing exploration in branding a theoretical coffee shop in the Mission District of San Francisco. Folding in aspects of punk aesthetics, a hand-drawn mark, and web design based on printed newspapers, Someday Coffee is a prototype of what brand design can be if you invest in great aesthetics.

01

Brand

The brand is centered around a hand-drawn mark that itself serves as a statement about imperfection and the charm of not overthinking a concept.

The icon is utilized alongside a wordmark lockup in Elfreth, a variable blackletter display font, and paired with Beatrice Thin for body copy. This lends the brand the ability to speak both in a dynamic, expressive voice as well as communicating clearly.
